The Reason Why the Cold Forming Machine Forms the Pocket Wave

Ⅰ. About the cold roll forming machine

The cold roll forming machine is a plastic processing machine that continuously bends metal sheets and strips such as coils and strips in a transverse direction through a sequence of multi-pass forming rolls to make a specific section profile. Cold-formed steel is the main material for manufacturing light steel structures. It is made of a steel plate or steel strip by cold bending. It is a kind of steel with a particularly thin wall thickness. It can be used in building structure, vehicle manufacturing, agricultural machinery manufacturing, and other aspects. There are also many varieties of cold roll forming machine steel, such as open teeth, semi-closed, etc. according to the cross-section, and angle steel, Z-shaped steel, etc. according to the shape.

Ⅱ. The reason why the cold roll forming machine forms the pocket wave

Because the cold roll forming machine is a kind of thin steel, the probability of the cold-formed equipment showing pocket waves during processing is higher than that of the thick plate, mainly because of the width of the section edge of cold-formed section steel has a certain influence on the pocket wave. The operator needs to apply a certain tension to the sheet material to alleviate the phenomenon of the pocket wave. The composition of the pocket wave is mainly due to the off-line situation during the bending process, so there is transverse tensile stress and strain force in the middle of the bending, so the longitudinal cold-formed steel part will exert a certain pressure on the middle part, so the middle part will exert a certain pressure, resulting in a pocket wave.

Ⅲ. The design and manufacture characteristics of the steel ball slide machine roll of the cold roll forming machine

1. The principle of average force of each pass, the average force of the entire line of rollers, the wear is balanced, and the service life of the rollers is prolonged.

2. The use of C12MoV material for the roll is based on its wear resistance, but the specific strength and hardness are contradictory. The red hardness of C12MoV should be used during heat treatment. After quenching, the hardness can be achieved by tempering twice or even three times.

3. The arc part of the track is the core part of the slide rail. The arc part after the first few passes is pressed and formed. When the vertical edge is rolled and folded in the subsequent passes, the formed arc should be effectively managed and protected by the upper and lower rollers or the horizontal wheel. Otherwise, the arc position of the material will change during the stretching process, R becomes smaller and becomes a triangle, the steel ball does not reach the end, and the two-point contact produces noise. When R increases, the matching rail will shake, the track of the slide rail is fuzzy, the stress is uneven, the slide rail will be deformed and the service life will be shortened.

4. The rolling stability problem of the cold roll forming machine is often encountered in the production of the material swaying left and right in the raceway. The force of a single set of rollers is asymmetric. When the force on the left side is large, and the material swings to the right; when the force on the right side is large, and the material swings to the left.
